Sa Mun's Story of Resilience

Sa Mun's journey began with the noble intention of earning extra money for her family. Little did she know that she was about to face unimaginable horrors. Deceived into crossing the border, she found herself trapped as a bride, with no one to turn to for help.

The language barrier and suspicions of bribery made her isolation even more overwhelming.

For four excruciating years, Sa Mun endured abuse at the hands of her in-laws and a mentally ill husband. But the birth of her child ignited a fire within her to escape this nightmare.

Unfortunately, fate had a cruel twist in store for her. As she reached out to the authorities for assistance, she was unjustly separated from her child and thrown into jail.

She was heartbroken, branded as a selfish mother who had chosen her own freedom over her child's.

It is disheartening that many nations overlook the plight of human trafficking and domestic violence victims, denying them the support and services they desperately need. However, there is a glimmer of hope. Through our partner center, Sa Mun found solace and a chance at restoration.

Today, she not only survives but thrives as she leads one of Eden's workshops, helping other women reclaim their lives.
