Pants, Grants and Events
We are staying busy!
It has been almost a year since tornadoes interrupted the Made for Freedom Kickoff and Fashion Show. Since then, we have received our first order of pants, won a $25,000 grant in the YouthBridge/SEIC competition, and are finalists for the $50,000 Arch Grants competition!!! We would like you to know of the next event we are hosting.
Given that St. Louis Fashion Week is next week, and the global Fashion Revolution Day is also next week, we wanted to bring together boutique owners and consumers to discuss ethical business practices in the fashion industry. If you live in the area, we would love to see you there. Please let us know via the Eventbrite link below so that we can plan accordingly. We already have several speakers and a number of boutiques that will have product available for sale. I will also present how ethical apparel standards decrease the root causes which make girls vulnerable to sex trafficking.
This will be a great way to kick off the events of next week and prepare St. Louis to hear about global stirrings in the fashion industry and more about Made for Freedom.
Hope to see you there,
Dawn
