Story
When you choose hope, anything is possible. During an outreach visit to a newly discovered red-light district, our partner center’s team noticed how heartbreakingly young the girls were. From behind a car, one young woman, Enzali, locked eyes with a team member—silently pleading for help.
Enzali’s story began at a bus station, where a rickshaw driver promised her work as a masseuse. Instead, he delivered her to a brothel where she was trapped for seven long months. In a moment of courage, our team slipped her an exit plan and a phone number, secretly pressed into her hand.
Two days later, Enzali called—from a taxi with another victim by her side. Both women were welcomed with new clothes, living essentials, and trauma counseling for PTSD. In the darkest places, hope takes root—and with it, freedom begins to grow.
