Mae's Story of Resilience

Mae, a woman from a poverty-stricken village, recalled her childhood longing for education, which was denied to her due to societal expectations limiting girls' opportunities.

Forced into a life of exploitation, she found solace and hope when she encountered our partner center's outreach team. The team offered her a job crafting jewelry and allowed her to bring her daughter, who was also trapped in the same brothel.

Together, they embarked on a journey towards freedom. Despite her age, Mae's dream of education was realized through our partner center's classes. She learned to read and write and is now studying English and computers. Additionally, she plays a crucial role in the organization, designing and producing jewelry prototypes.

Both she and her daughter have experienced significant transformation through our partner center. Her daughter is now a successful businesswoman, while Mae continues to develop her career and mentor other women seeking to escape their circumstances.
