Devaluation of the Girl Child

In the "5 Key Components of Exploitation" one of the vulnerabilities listed was devaluation of the girl child. Devaluation of women takes many forms and shapes; unequal pay, objectification, limited opportunities. 

I did not truly understand the extent of the problem until I saw the documentary "It's a Girl." 

This three minute trailer will give you a glimpse of the extreme attitudes that exist toward females around the world and provide a more complete understanding of how Devaluation of the Girl Child has shaped parts of our world.
